An education minister shared with me the following acrostic:
Together
Everyone
Achieves
More
I was reminded of this truth when my new supervisor took me to breakfast this morning -- just to get to know me better. Sure, we each have our own particular strengths and each us could a difference in the lives of our boys. Together, though, we can achieve so much more. This can only happen if we take the time to develop our personal relationship with each other -- a great model for our young men.
Functioning as a team is so important to developing a family-type structure. Each member is essential to the makeup of this structure. Everyone must do their part for the family to be successful. It won't be perfect but, with God, it can work.
This wonderful acrostic applies to most any life situation we might face. Try it. You'll like it!
Carpe Diem!
