Being a houseparent is a lot like riding on a roller coaster. There are ups, downs, curves -- even times when you feel upside down! Even so, it can be quite a rush knowing you are in the center of God's will. Oh, what a feeling! Wish everyone could experience this but, truth is, they don't.
Someone once told me to "bloom where you're planted". Guess my "roots" are planted in this Oklahoma red clay -- Sooner-born, Sooner-dead. More importantly, my family and I have been planted at the Willow Springs Boys Ranch. And, believe it or not in this heat, our lives are "taking root" in the lives of six special young men! What a rush!
