Well, the boxes stacked around our "new" house are getting fewer by the day. It feels good to have a place for everything and everything in its place! Kelly and some of our boys went to Wal Mart today, while the rest of us waited for the plumber -- now thats home! Our "bosses" are sprucing up the place -- what a treat! Most of all, we are already feeling at home. Thanks, WSBR!
God wants each of us to have our "house in order". "...everything in its place." We all have priorities, but what are they and are they in the correct order? Do you have "plumbing" needs? Does your "house" need some sprucing up? These are questions I ask of myself on a daily basis. Can't afford to not do this!
This is a need we all have, especially the boys with which we work. To face an unpredictable world, each boy has to recognize their need and begin working towards this goal. This quest can be overwhelming for both child and houseparents! What an opportunity in which to demonstrate the love of Christ!
As we begin this journey, Kelly and I will do our best to lead each our young men in acquiring this fundamental trait.
Carpe Diem!
Alan
