Home is where the heart is. How true, how true! This particular Dawson clan is definitely nomadic. While there would be a certain comfort to being "rooted down" in one place, there is a rush of excitement when God leads one to a field of service.
As of July 10, Kelly and I are the new house parents at Willow Springs Boys Ranch, Chandler, OK. In addition to our own crew (Rayna, Taylor and Alex), we are "parenting" five very special young men. We may not be as big as that famous Arkansas brood, but I bet our lives will be just as exciting!
Writing this blog serves as a diary -- as I age, my memory gets foggier! It also helps our many friends and family members stay up-to-date. Phone calls and texts help, but this will be the place to get the nitty,gritty details!
We are unpacking boxes, hanging pictures, etc -- ugh! Our top priority, however, is establishing relationships with our Willow Springs family!
I look forward to sharing this part of our life's journey!
